The giant search engine Google turns 14 on September 27, 2012, and it celebrates it with chocolate cake and candles on it home page.

The animated doodle presents a chocolate cake with 14 candles on it as the Google logo. If you click on the cake, it converts into Google colours and all the 14 candles rearrange themselves and make number 14.

Meanwhile, the actual date when Google was incorporated was September 7 and the company celebrates Sept 7 as its birthday till 2005.

But, in 2005, the company changed the date to Sept 27, because Google has a record number of pages that the search engine was indexing.

Now, the company had completed 14 years since its launch in 1998. It was founded by two Stanford university students, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who wanted to establish a company that would change the face of the Internet.

Last year, Google turns 13 and Google doodle shows a cake for itself with 13 candles and the table was surrounded with gifts and balloons.
