Localizing its products for the customer, Honda Cars India has launched the new fourth generation 2013 sports utility vehicle CR-V with a petrol power train.
It will be for the first time that Honda will assemble the car in India at the company’s Greater Noida facility.
Honda has slashed prices of its flagship CRV to strengthen its position in Indian market.
It has been said that the company has set price of Honda CR-V from starting Rs.19.95 lakh, less Rs 2.7 lakh from previous model.
Honda CR-V comes with two petrol engine options of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder making 153 bhp of peak power and a 2.4-litre 187 bhp engine as when the company confirmed no the diesel variant for the 2013 model CR-V.
In Europe, Honda will offer a 1.6 liter i-DTEC diesel engine CR-V next month after introducing at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March.
As per reports, CR-V with small engine offers a six-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission with 13.7 km on a litre, while larger engine comes with the 5-speed auto with 12 km.
Meanwhile Honda CR-V will come in four variants two are new and other two are come with slashed price rates. The new 2 litre automatic available at price of Rs.20.85 lakh and 2.4 litre automatic with touchscreen comes for Rs 23.85 lakh.
