Hyundai appoints Maruti Suzuki’s Rakesh Srivastava as VP

Earlier, Maruti Suzuki India, the one of country’s largest carmaker made announcement regarding declining of its exports in the ongoing fiscal.

And to raised its problems, Hyundai Motor India, main rival to Maruti, has poached Rakesh Srivastava as its vice –president for performing sales operations across India.

There is a tough competition between Hyundai and Maruti as Maruti has run with 38% market share, while Hyundai with 15%.

Recent action to poach the Rakesh Srivastava makes one step ahead to Hyundai from Mruti. He was the marketing head for the largest northern region for Maruti Suzuki, also the chief general manager & commercial business head at Maruti Suzuki India.

It has reported that this hit is the second major one for Hyundai after poached Arvind Saxena from Maruti in November 2005 as vice-president marketing & sales.

Releasing its report, Hyundai said, “Rakesh Srivastava has joined Hyundai Motor India as vice-president national sales with effect from April 2, 2012.”
