McDonald’s to introduce first all-veg outlet in India

The world’s second-largest restaurant best fast food hut McDonald is set to launch its first all –vegetarian restaurant in Indian in next upcoming year, offering its services to non- flesh eater customers expanding its chain with target of massive market share.

Big Mac beef burgers is one of the best and famous food item in McDonald, but avoided by religious community –Hindus – for whom it is a sin, leaving them spare from its menu.

Over all 50 % containing veg menu in which McAloo Tikki burger is the most selling item, McDonald’s new upcoming veg outlet will added McVeggie and McSpicy Paneer on the menu. Hence the new line of company will tailor a new chain in its menu, hoping to cover a large number of customers who loves McD a lot but not used.

The first McD outlet will be opened near the most popular pilgrimage, the Golden Temple in the Sikh holy city of Amritsar, in northern India and it would be in the middle of next year.

“There is a big opportunity for vegetarian restaurants (in India) as many Indians are vegetarian,” Rajesh Kumar Maini, a spokesman for McDonald’s in northern India told reporters, adding, “It will be the first time we have opened a vegetarian restaurant.”

As per source, McD is also seeking a second new location in India for its new outlet and is expected that it would be near the Vaishno Devi cave shrine in northwestern Indian Kashmir, a pilgrimage site.
