Rahul Gandhi is number two, says Renuka Chowdhury

The Congress party on Monday said that Rahul Gandhi, the party general secretary, was ‘number two’ after Congress party President Sonia Gandhi but did not comment on his probable re-designation.

In a press conference, Congress party spokesperson Renuka Chowdhury said, “He is number two… work is going on.”

Meanwhile, there has been a saying that Rahul Gandhi will get a bigger role to play in the Congress party in coming few days or so and he will be given a new position like Vice-President.

On the other hand, a reshuffle in the All India Congress Committee could take place before Diwali Nov 13.
