Sonia, Rahul and senior leader take ‘aam aadmi’ bus ride to Surajkund

The Congress party is planning to send a message of austerity, therefore Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi along with other senior leader from the UPA government took a bus ride to Surajkund in Haryana where the party is having a brainstorming session.

But, due to security reasons Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will not ride in the bus.

The congress party leaders will attend the “Samvad Bhaitak”, which comes at a time when the Congress party and the UPA Government are goring through political as well as economic draws.

The daylong session is likely to stage the framework for the coming period and elections. However, the dialogue session may also have talks on the issue of alliances in different States.

Reports have said that the Congress party opted for a bus ride as to project unity and to connect with the ‘aam aadmi’.

Talking to media, party sources said, “The session will virtually set the agenda for the larger brainstorming, “Chintan Shivir”, which is likely to be organised in January 2013.”

It is said that the party dialogue session will hold talk on three major topics – present political situation, economic challenges and status of implementation of 2009 party manifesto.
