US President Barack Obama is likely to launch a gun control plan on Wednesday, an attempt to curb weapon violence.
The proposal would be of a three-part plan focused on gun violence, education and mental health, source said.

Obama’s proposals includes a ban on military-style assault weapons, ammunition magazines holding more than 10 bullets as well as universal background checks on gun buyers, reports said.
Gun control measures came after New York approved enactment of tighter gun restrictions after the Democrat-dominated Assembly passed the toughest gun control bill in the United States and Governor Andrew Cuomo signed it into law, it further added.
The launching of plan would be by Obama and Vice-president Joe Biden, in a midday event at the White House, attended by children who wrote to him about gun violence after Newtown Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
