Oracle says Keith Block to leave

The latest news, Oracle directed its executive vice president for North America sales and consulting, Keith Block to resign to pursue other opportunities in charge of criticizing his boss, Oracle Corp President Mark Hurd, company’s owner billionaire Larry Ellison said today, as per source report.

Block is also responsible for make public the company’s Sun Microsystems division in an internal communication and dismissed any acquisition of the hardware products with it, reports suggested.

Source said, in July 2011 Block commented on Sun Microsystems to a colleague via Oracle’s instant messaging service, “Nobody talks about Sun. Even the Sun customers. It’s dead dead dead.” It became public while disclosures filed during the period of a lawsuit with rival Hewlett-Packard Co.

Although earlier source cited that Block was leaving the company, but the company cleared in a statement that he will remain with company for some time to assist some of his responsibilities that have been assumed by other managers.
