Rahul’s First Speech as VP: Congress represents India’s DNA

Rahul Gandhi is now at the number 2 position of the Congress after elevated Vice-President.

In his first speech, Rahul promised a complete transformation of the system favouring the young and the middle class.

“Congress party is now my life and the people of India are my life,” Congress Yuvraj said.

Being emotional in his speech, Rahul said that he was now realizing more responsible towards country, people. He said that as his mother came to his room in the night after naming him party vice-president, she wept because she understands that power was actually a poison.

Clarifying the anger of youth for political structure, Rahul said they were angry because they are alienated and are excluded from the political class.

“I will fight for the people of India and for this party. I will fight with everything I have. I invite all of you to stand up and take on this fight,” he said, source said.

The VP who will pitch at the Congress campaign for upcoming 2014 General Elections promised to do everything that he had for Indian public includes creation of a political space, an investment-friendly business environment and also more jobs.

Welcoming great honour as party VP, Rahul thanked his mother and now boss, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and all delegates at the AICC including Prime Minister Manohan Singh, union ministers and top party leaders.

Despite shortcomings, his party Congress comes back to power because it represents the DNA of India, the 42-year-old Rahul said, terming his new role as a judge who will treat all equally.

Rahul’s new role as VP undoubtedly clear signals of change with a new generation in the 127-year-old party, which has been led by Sonia Gandhi since 1998.

“We have to re-look at things in the system and we have to transform them completely,” new VP , Congress Prince said.
