 Rajasthan doctors strike enter third day

Today the strike of Rajasthan doctor is on going of third day. It has really affecting the health of a dozen lives that needed hospitalized services.

This strike has so far claimed around a dozen lives and crippled medical services in the state.

However, all the government doctors are on strike. Out of them, there are some who working in hospitals, dispensaries, primary health centers and resident doctors of all the six medical colleges.

In fact, the reason for this is of their long-pending demands of pay hike and time-bound promotions. And in support of them, the Private doctors and medical teachers also stopped work today for four and two hours respectively.

There are so many doctors who were arrested under RESMA (Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act) from different parts of the state and it would really make a strong threatening impact on the govt.

Moreover due to unavailability of medical services and treatment, a dozen of patient has been died and there are many more who suffer from this strike. The number of death has at least five in Jodhpur and one in Jaipur.

Talking to Media, Dr Mahesh Sharma, Vice President of All Rajasthan in-service doctors’ association said, “We have reports that near about 1,000 government doctors and resident doctors in all across the state have been arrested under RESMA since begining of the strike.”

“It is very painful that around twelve patients have died at different hospitals but it is all due to the state government,” he added.
