Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ promos banned in Pakistan

The Bollywood Hunk, Salman Khan, always very helping hand, has to face much trouble in Pakistan as PEMRA banned to airing theatrical trailer of Salman starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger‘, offering under the Yashraj banner.

People across the world are ready to see the Bollywood marchoman Salman on big screen in a different look with amazing stunts, but may be Pakistani have to wait even for promos.

Directing all the media and distribution network channels, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) asked them to stop themselves from promoting Trailer of Ek Tha Tiger till approval from the Censor Board of Pakistan.

PERMA stated the reason of banning the promos is of effecting image of Pakistan ISI as putting negative reference about state-owned institution in mind of people. Just like of Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Agent Vinod which had banned by Censor Board.

“The film’s content is reportedly based on the activities of ISI and RAW. The basic theme of the film revolves around the ISI with the objective to tarnish the image of the state-owned institution,” it said in a statement.

Clarifying the Pakistan authority refrain, the film’s director Kabir Khan told reporters, “EK Tha Tiger is not an anti-Pak film and the mention of RAW and ISI in the film does not mean we are showing them in a negative light.”

“It is because of the jingoistic films on Pak-bashing that our film is suffering. Just because there is a mention of the ISI this problem has occurred,” he further added.

Salman Khan starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ will be screened in 35 places across Pakistan and has been eagerly waited by Pakistan Cinema where a huge number of fans club demanded the film, along with territories which have been sold at double the price.

Good news for Salman fans that earlier the new and more passionate theatrical trailer of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ will have been come in the screen without directing reference to either agency. The wait is just of Censor Board approval, which may get this week.

All favourate Salman’s film, moreover, will released in Pakistan after the final approval of the Censor Board, but it is fixed that ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ would be screened worldwide in mid-August.
