According to latest news, around 11 students were killed when the school bus was collided with trucks near Nakodar town in Punjab on Monday morning.
It is further said in news that five children were seriously injured; the driver of the bus was also killed in the accident.
Some of the seriously injured students were admitted to Nakodar civil hospital. Two students were referred to hospital in Ludhiana.
It is said in news that the mini-bus carrying children from Akal Academy School in Boparai Kalan were hit with a truck near Gahira village near Nakodar.
Reports said that the truck was coming from the wrong side and the driver of the truck lost control and had head-on accident with the mini-bus.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against the truck driver, who ran away fro the spot of incident soon after the accident.
Talking to media, Jalandhar Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rajinder Singh said, “Seven children died on the spot while four others died in hospital.”
Police official said, “The bus was carrying about 25 children to school when the accident happened.”
