The Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has congratulated the NSUI candidates for their win in the Delhi University Students Union elections on Saturday.

The winning team from the NSUI candidates met the Delhi chief minister at her residence, congress chief Sonia Gandhi and legislator Mukesh Sharma was also present.

Talking to media, Sheila Dikshit said, “The landslide victory established beyond doubt that the Congress party and its ideology were dear to the youth of the Capital as well as the country.”

Later, the winning team of NSUI candidates went to meet congress Chief Sonia Gandhi at her residence.

As a surprise visit, all the NSUI candidates went to see the Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s son and Lok Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda at her residence at 9 Pandit Pant Marg, who felicitated them.

Thereafter, Jai Prakash Agarwal also joins the party at Sheila Dikshit’s residence; Mr. Agarwal is Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president and Lok Sabha member. He said, “victory for the policies and programmes of the Congress party and its leaders.”

He further said that the newly elected leaders would surely raise the demands and needs of students with the DU officials. He said that the winning leaders will introduce the policies of the Congress party with the students. He said, “indulged in divisive, communal and casteist politics without any ideological bend.”
