india pak28 Australian director wants film on India, Australia and Pakistan cricket teamAccording to the latest news, Australian film maker Phil Noyce has recently said in an interview that the world has suffered from very few films made on cricket. He told media that he would like to make an India-Australi-Pakistan co-produced cricket film, if the money permits.

The Australian film maker Noyce was honoured with a retrospective at the 42nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), and was addressing to media during the event on Sunday at the festival venue.

While talking to media, he said, “We need to make more movies on cricket. The world suffers from fewer films on cricket. The shine of the ball, the texture of the pitch, the swing, the strokes, all need to be captured in films.”

Noyce, who is a big cricket lover, states that there is need of the times of a cricket movie featuring India, Australia and Pakistan, all three of which have international demand and are noted for intra-team rivalry. Read more

Pragyan Ojha breaks into top-15 in ICC ranking

According to the latest news from sports, Indian spines Pragyan Ojha has something to smile now as the bowler broke into the top-15 of the ICC rankings for the very first in his career.

The bowler has achieved this after the wonderful performance in the home Test series against West Indies, in which he took seven wickets in the third test match played at Mumbai.

In the meantime, he took six wickets in the second innings of the test match and he is now jumped to 11th place in the ICC ranking, just ahead of Australia’s Peter Siddle.

However, India medium-fast bowler Ishant Sharma lost his place and dropped three places to 20th position after taking just one wicket in the match. Out of action pacer Zaheer Khan remained static at number six. Read more
