Anjum Chopra joins KKR to get fitness tips

The Indian women’s cricket captain Anjum Chopra has joined the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in Kolkata on Saturday to get some fitness tips from the team.

Reports have said that Anjum Chopra started shooting a fitness DVD at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.

While talking to media, Anjum Chopra said, “With the help of Kolkata Knight Riders, I have managed to gain knowledge about fitness and Rudi Webster, sports psychologist of KKR, has helped me a lot while shooting the very first fitness DVD meant for women athletes.”

She said, “This DVD shows how easy it can be for those who wants to look fit and how one can be trained. This is for every women.” Read more

kolkata knight riders 215x300 Kolkata Knight Riders urges court for using loudspeakersFew days before the final bells to ring for the India Premier League (IPL), city cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has appealed in the Calcutta High Court on Friday for the sue of loudspeakers during match-days.

An application was submitted before a bench of Justices P.K. Ray and Dipankar Gupta looking for an order from the Calcutta High Court directing the state government to permit the cricket team owners to use loudspeakers during its matches at the Eden Gardens.

Meanwhile, the application was submitted in the court after the West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) said in an order and banned the use of loudspeakers in residential as well as educational areas which was then extended to open areas including stadium. Read more
