There is nothing personal in it: K Radhakrishan

The allegation of G Madhavan Nair, the former chief of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) against Pratyush Sinha-led committee’s report, has been called wrong by ISRO present chief K Radhakrishnan today.

Having no prolonged feud behind blacklisting Mr. Nair and three other scientists in connection with the controversial Antrix-Devas deal, Radhakrishan said, “Whatever we wanted to say on the subject, we have put on the website. There is a full report and recommendations of the second report, and there is a four-page statement. I don’t want to add anything more. There is nothing personal in it.”

Mr. Nair had alleged that Pratyush Sinha committee report had only defined selective facts and the committee had not given him any opportunity to explain. Nair also claimed that Radhakrishnan is behind all this matter. Read more

g madhavan nair 240x300 ISRO report not showing all facts: Madhavan NairAs per the report released by the ISRO, a committee of five-members, concluded that former chairman of ISRO, G Madhavan Nair, and three other scientists were responsible for the contract.

Before last week, the government had ordered to rescue G Madhavan Nair, along with three – A Bhaskaranarayana, former scientific secretary at ISRO, KR Sridharamurthi, former executive director of Antrix, the commercial arm of ISRO, and K.N Shankara, former director of the ISRO satellite centre, all of these have since retired.

However they all were alleged with the role in the controversial deal between ISRO’s commercial arm Antrix Corporation and Devas Multimedia.

Now ISRO’s committee that was chaired by former central vigilance commissioner (CVC) Pratyush Sinha, has revealed a report and indicted Mr.Nair and other with having serious lapses of judgment along with lack of transparency over the deal. Read more

Ex-ISRO chief and three other barred from govt jobs

The Antrix-Devas deal of 2005 that agreed for lease of 90 per cent transponders in two satellites to be built by ISRO, now come into a big controversy that harm the ISRO chief of 2005 Mr. G Madhavan Nair’s govt. position, along with other three space members these are former scientific secretary at ISRO, K Bhaskaranarayana, K N Shankara, former director of the ISRO satellite centre and K R Sridharamurthi, former managing director of Antrix.

The govt has taken action of struck off any right to hold govt. post from all of these accused ISRO members. Read more
