Demanding their resignations in wake of never bear the burden of Mumbai Police leniency over the attacks, Mr. Thackeray said, “There is a boundary that must not be crossed…the police in the state should not be touched. Maharashtra civic polls 300x256 Civic polls started peacefully in MaharashtraAs per the latest news, polling for 10 municipal corporations allover the Maharashtra state, including Mumbai, has been started peacefully today morning under a tight security.

Meanwhile, the polling will be very special for 1,244 candidates, as it will decide their future in the state today.

The elections are taking place in Thane, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Solapur, Ulhasnagar, Pune, Nashik, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur and Mumbai Municipal Corporation, where a triple contest will be on between the Congress-NCP combine, Shiv Sena-BJP-RPI association and the Raj Thackeray-led MNS.

Further, around 2.02 crore voters will today vote for 10 civic bodies in the state. In total of 227-seat Mumbai Corporation, the polling is a severely tough job. Read more

MNS Chief Raj Thackeray estranged cousin Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray has also come in the battle of civil polls in Mumbai.

Campaigning for his first political rally in Mankhurd yesterday evening, he attacked on Raj over the issue of the Shivaji Park controversy under which Raj was denied by the High Court to permit his party to hold an election rally.

Pointing to the Raj’s demand for addressing rally on Shivaji Park, Uddhav told gathering that their party members have not need to select the venue for addressing the rally. They start campaign at any place where they stands. Read more

Raj Thackeray MNS 251x300 Raj Thackeray releases candidate list, want to be King not KingmakerBy taking a written examination as a different way, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has published list of selected candidates for the upcoming civic polls on Mumbai.

More than 80 per cent of the candidates have selected for the four major corporations Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Nashik and this has done to become the party in power, MNS chief Raj Thackeray indicated that party has only one target — the BMC(Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation).

During the announcement of the list of candidates of 208 out of 227 wards, Thackeray said: “Our target is neither the Sena, BJP and RPI combine nor the united front of Congress, NCP and Dalit groups. Our target is the BMC.”

With a full force of his power, Thackeray said, “We will not be the king-maker this time, we will be the king.” Read more
