Air India has been ranked world’s third worst, dangerous airline in terms of safety by Hamburg based, Germany’s Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Centre (JACDEC).
Taiwain’s China Airlines is the top worst airlines and at bottom in term of safety.
JACDEC monitors plane crashes around the world and rated total of sixty airlines and Air India ranked 58th among them.
UAE’s Emirates Airlines at the world’s fourth top position among the safest airline, while Etihad Airways ranked fifth.
Ranking at the 3rd position, India’s national carrier has come after Brazil’s TAM Airlines which is at second rank.
Among safest, Finland’s Finnair of is world’s safest airline followed by Air New Zealand of New Zealand and Cathay Pacific of Hongkong, the safest airlines to travel by in the world, according to JACDEC.
Report is based on last 30 years annual ranked data of airline safety related to the accidents and serious incidents of operations.
The fatalities based as per the revenue passsenger kilometers (RPK) earned by airline over 30 years.
A total of 496 fatalities were reported on commercial passenger flights last year, reports said.
