Deoghar stampede 150x150 Around 9 killed in stampede in JharkhandAccording to latest news, around nine people feared killed and more than 20 were injured in a steampede in the temple town of Deoghar in Jharkhand.

Reports have said that 8 women were killed in total nine people.

Further, it all happened during the morning prayers in Satsangh ashram complex, where devotees came to celebrate the 125th birth-anniversary of Thakur Anukul Chandra in the prayer hall of the ashram.

It sis said that more than one lakh devotees were present in the temple at the time of steampede in the temple.

Talking to media, Deoghar deputy commissioner, Rahul Purwar said that all the injured people were soon rushed to the Satsang hospital.

He said that the condition of nine injured is serious.

He said, “The stampede took place as the temple was overcrowded and there was no space for devotees to move.”

The police commissioner told media that the volunteers had the responsibility to look after the crowd inside the temple and the police was posted outside the temple.

He said, “Volunteers had taken full responsibility of crowd management and they failed in their task. The situation is now under control.”
