In a major setback, South African Olympic Star Oscar Pistorius has granted bail over the charges of premeditated murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
On Day fourth, Pisorius’s shooting case which put the whole world under shocking bow, cheered the judge’s verdict in favour of Oscar.
Pistorius who said the shooting of his girl friend was without any intension, just mistake as thought a dangerous intruder inside his house, saw unmoved while pronouncing the verdict.
As per reports, the bail has been granted at 1 million rand ($109,000) in cash and guarantees and asked to submit his passports and not to leave the district of Pretoria without probation officer’s permission.
Even, restriction on his returning to home where Reeva Steenkamp shot dead has put on by the court.
Sources said, the decision came on basis of Pistorius’ affidavit, in which he detailed the whole events of the shooting on morning of Feb. 14- Valentine’s Day, but the judge also said that there were improbabilities in Pistorius’s version of events that will need to be explored.
Moreover, now he will be freed from custody pending his trial in the case, reports said, adding that now the next hearing will be on June 4.
