Bangkok thrilled with three bomb blasts

The biggest breaking of the evening is that three explosions in the Thai capital have left the city in a state of panic today afternoon.

Further, reports have said that around five people were seriously injured when a man [may be Iranian] carrying a grenade exploded.

Talking to media about the blasts in the city, Thai Police officials said that the wounded man is thought to be an Iranian.

In a photo uploaded on social networking site Twitter reveals the wounded man who lay on a sidewalk after the bomb balst. Read more

No RDX was used in Israeli embassy car blast

The first round investigation into the Israel Embassy car blast in New Delhi on yesterday has announced that there is no use of RDX in the attack.

Meanwhile, it is said in reports that the damage to the car was mainly due to the fire and not because of the explosion.

Sources said that high quality sulphur-based compound was used in the car blast.

While talking to media, an official from the investigating agency said, “The bomb was as big as a human palm or slightly bigger than that and a highly trained person on a motorcycle was used to plant it.”

According to them, the bomb had a self triggering device that worked and that do not need a remote control. Read more

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani charged with contempt

Today will be a big threatening day for Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani as he faces charge against serious crime for contempt in Supreme Court.

Supreme Court insisted that Gilani accused for the ruling out of contempt charges over the government’s two-year refusal to ask Swiss authorities to re-open graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

On charges ranging from corruption to murder, Zardari whose nickname is “Mr 10%”, has already spent 11 years in jail.

Zardari and his late wife, Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, were suspected in the money laundry cases. They were accused of using Swiss authorities to launder about $12 million paid by companies seeking customs inspection contracts in Pakistan in the 1990s. Read more

US singer and actress Whitney Houston dies at 48

The 48 years old legendary American singer and actress Whitney Houston has died in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton hours before her scheduled appearance at a pre-Grammys dinner.

As per source report, the cause of her death still is not clear. But she had died on the eve of the Grammy Awards. She had attended a pre-awards party in the Beverly Hilton Hotel. This party had organized on Saturday evening by her long-time mentor and record industry executive Clive Davis.

It was expected that Houston’s life was going to be darkness after her marriage to singer Bobby Brown. Her career was going to be down as being affected by abuse substances and so she seemed to be under depression.

Two days before her death, Houston had been partying heavily on nights. She was also seen drinking and chatting loudly with friends in the hotel bar. Read more
