As per latest report, Cyclone ‘Nilam’ over Bay of Bengal is likely to come very rapidly towards North coastline Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh coasts, alarming Wednesday evening with stormy heavy rains seems to hit destruction of huts, crops and power lines.
The cyclone which is now around 320 km south-southeast of Chennai and is expected to cross between Puducherry and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh close to Chennai at 5 pm this evening, resulting a heavy rain fall of over 25 cm, an official told reporters. Read more
