Dimple Yadav to create history, to be elected unopposed

The Samajwadi Party candidate and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s wife, Dimple Yadav is all set to create history.

Dimple Yadav will be elected winner to the Lok Sabha without contest from Kannauj on Saturday as the two other candidates withdrew their nomination papers on Friday.

Now, Dimple Yadav is the only candidate left for the Kannauj seat.

In the meantime, the candidates who withdrew their nominations on Friday were Dashrath Shankhwar of the Sanyukta Samajwadi Party and Sanjeev alias Sanju Katiyar (Independent).

Therefore, it is now clear that Dimple Yadav will be creating history as in Uttar Pradesh, only two candidates so far declared winners to the Lok Sabha without contest.

Akhilesh Yadav’s wife, Dimple Yadav will share this along with freedom fighter and Constituent Assembly member Purushottam Das Tandon (1952) and Manvendra Shah of Indian National Congress (1962)

On Friday, the state Assembly adopted a resolution congratulating Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for the unique feat achieved by his wife Dimple.
