Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has come up with another new a drastically revamped version of the social network’s search function, “Graph Search”.
Graph Search comes with a beta version from Tuesday, a more relevant feature lets users to browse mainly photographs, people, places and members’.
It will help to quickly move towards friends’ circle from social connections to find everything from restaurants to movie recommendations.
It will be a privacy aware feature as users can only search for content that has been shared with them. “Every piece of content has its own audience,” Mr. Zuckerberg said.
This feature as important to the site as the News Feed on the homepage and the Timeline profiles. It’s also the most nascent, as per Zuckerberg.
Just 1 billion Facebook users will have access this new search tool as the company will launch it worldwide during the next year.
‘Graph Search’ is said to be designed to keep privacy in mind and attract users to spend more time on Facebook, tightening competition with Google and other rivals such as Yelp and LinkedIn.
