Today is his 127th birthday and on his birthday Google has posted a doodle on its home page. Niels Bohr, full name Niels Henrik David Bohr, was born in Copenhagen on October 7, 1885.

The giant search engine, Google is celebrating Niels Bohr’s 127th birthday today.

Niels Bohr’s father, Christian Bohr was a Professor of Physiology at Copenhagen University. During the World War II, Niels Bohr went Britain due to srrest fears in Germany, later he went to the United States of America to work the Manhattan Project at the Los Alamos laboratory in New Mexico.

Further, the Manhattan Project proved to the development of the first atom bomb

Google doodle presents Niels Bohr 127th birthday as his support and involvement to science as well as highlights the Bohr atomic model.

The Bohr atomic model was first launched in 1913.

Niels Bohr took his last breath in Copenhagen on November 18, 1962. His son, Aage Bohr, was also awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1975.
