Independent MLA Bharat Singh shot at in Delhi

According to the Breaking News of the afternoon, the Independent MLA Bharat Singh was shot at on today morning in south-west Delhi by some unknown attackers.

However, the Delhi Police has told media that it might be a case of personal rivalry.

Meanwhile, a passerby Dharampal was also injured in the shot-out. It is said in reports that the incident took place near the MLA’s office in Najafgarh’s Sarangpur village at around 8:30 am.

The above declaration was given to media by a senior police official said.

Further talking to media, police official said, “Four to five people came and opened fire at Singh, the 35-year-old MLA from Najafgarh, who suffered two bullet injuries.”

In addition, Dharampal, a villager who was passing through the area also, was caught in the firing and got injured.

The MLA Bharat Singh and Dharampal were soon rushed to Mata Chanan Devi Hospital and are undergoing treatment.

The police official said, “We are investigating the matter. No arrests have been made.”

However, Bharat Singh is the brother of MCD councillor Kishen Pahalwan against whom there are number of criminal cases.
