Jasraj Joshi wins Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2012 trophy

The singing reality show aired on Zee TV had earlier gave some amazing singers to country like Shreya Ghoshal and Sunidhi Chauhan and once again a new singer with an amazing voice quality has been found by the show and the singer is Pune boy Jasraj Joshi.

Pune boy Jasraj Joshi was a part of local brands in his city and now a winner of the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2012 trophy at an extravagant grand finale, aired on Sunday night.

Jasraj Joshi, 29-year-old, had impressed the judges and the audiences. The show has judges such as singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan, composer-duo Sajid-Wajid and bass guitarist Rahul Ram of Indian Ocean.

Along with Jasraj Joshi, the other three finalists were Shenaz Akhtar, Vishwajeet Borwankar and Mohammad Aman.

After winning the show, Jasraj Joshi said, “This show has opened a new door for me as a singer. I have been struggling for the past nine years to gain a foothold and have been composing and performing for local bands.”

Jasraj had now strong fan following due to his strong grip on the classical as well as folk tones.

He said, “My mentor Shankar has taken my knowledge of music to another level. His inputs and suggestions have helped me give good performances and garner maximum votes.”

Jasraj said, “At the moment, I am enjoying my newly-acquired celebrity status.”

The finale of the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2012 also had a grand performance of Punjabi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, who presented a medley of his hit tracks such as Angrezi Beat, High Heels, Brown Rang and Lonely.
