Maruti Suzuki India announced to roll out new Alto 800 small car on replacement of previous version, with more improved features and configurations, seeking to stay its position in amid Indian auto markets segment.

Alto 800 small car model is the version of best selling brand of Maruti Suzuki which launch in Indian market on Oct. 16 before Festival celebrations.

“We want to do what we were doing and even better with the Alto 800 coming in,” Manohar Bhat, Vice President of MSI said.

Interestingly, MSI which is losing its share value in market, will launch its newest Alto 800 with offer of CNG option too, a much anticipated phase at the time of too hike fuel price when customers seek another best option in place of diesel variant.

All new Alto 800 comes with gasoline option with promise to offer improved fuel efficiency of 22.74 kmpl, consuming 30 % less fuel than convenient diesel engine.

With a huge Rs 470 crore investments, MSI seeking to once again gear up it’s down market position and slashed share with 40 percent low in the Indian auto market with huge reduction in Alto sale units in this fiscal.

The company claims to offer customers a well performing passenger vehicle in Diwali season with best driving experience and features, another best model in comparison to already landed four wheelers models in market.

“It is a very difficult market now. It is in a bit of flux now and with the Alto 800, we hope there would be excitement and it will reignite the market,” Bhat said, while no details about price has been revealed.
