Petrol Price likely to be cut, Diesel to hike

Yet another addition on burden of common man, the diesel price is likely to be hike by 50 paisa a litre, while the price of petrol may be down by around Re 1 per litre.

All the revised move over petrol is basis of being strong the rupee against dollar and falling international crude oil prices, reports suggested.

Diesel prices hike is followed in the line with government freedom to oil companies to set diesel prices, also free to hike prices monthly basis till all losses are eliminated.

Still a final hit would be needed which make by oil marketing companies tomorrow.

The revise rates would be come with effect from March 15-16 after the announcement has made by officials, source said.


Earlier, the price of petrol revised with two successive hikes- Rs. 1.50 a litre on February and then by Rs. 1.40 per litre from March.
