The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is on his Pakistan visit to meet Indian leader coincided with the Hindu festival of lights, and the Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will host a special Diwali dinner for Nitish Kumar.
It is said in reports that Nitish Kumar and his delegation is expected to got o Zardari’s residence this evening and the meetings will follow tomorrow.
President Zardari decided to arrange special dinner for Nitish Kumar and his delegation and this shows the importance to improve the ties with India.
Zardari want to improve relations with India, mainly in the field of trade and commerce, said Fawad Chaudhry, a special assistant to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
Zardari greeted Hindus and called better ties with India, he said, the festival of lights is a time for celebration and reflection.
Further, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari said, “We partake in Diwali celebrations for promoting interfaith harmony as a means to fight religious apartheid and those who seek to impose their ideological agenda on the people.”
He said, “Let it be made clear yet again today that no one will be allowed to victimise and hound members of minority communities in the name of religion and faith.”
Meanwhile, the Bihar Chief Minister went to Pakistan on Friday for his week-long tour.
Nitish Kumar also visited the historic site of Mohenjodaro, visited an ancient Hindu temple and addressed a Hindu panchayat in Sindh. He also talked about the India and Pakistan to co-exist peacefully and work for good governance.
