A ruckus in Punjab Assembly has suspended 15 Punjab Congress MLAs today, accused for assaulting a public servant during an alleged police raid on legislature party office.
A case will be filed against six Congress ministers for criminal charges by the Chandigarh Police , Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal informed House today.
As per reports, an FIR has been registered against these six accused for assaulting a police constable Jaipal Singh outside the Congress legislature party office on the Assembly premises, while nine Congress MLAs booked under various sections of the IPC.
Suspension of nine Congress MLAs for the rest of Budget Session has followed for unparliamentary behavior.
On Wednesday, a ruckus created in Punjab Assembly with opposition Congress members who alleging raid at their legislature party office and accused their colleagues for forcefully assault police cop who had allegedly entered assembly without entry pass.
The Chair of Speaker was also being occupied by one of the Congress MLAs after the adjournment. Speaker termed it “an insult to the Chair” and announced their suspension.
