Technology sector news reveals that soon after the successful launch of Renault Duster in India, the car manufacturing company now plans to sell 30,000 cars in 2012.
At present, Renault India is at the 13th spot in India’s top car manufacturers list and have just 0.24 percent share in the Indian automobile market. And the company is known to the fact that there is long way to go to establish itself as top company in India.
However, the company aims high after the successful launch of Renault Duster in India. Talking to media, Renault India’s MD Marc Nassif has said that the company plans to sell one lakh vehicles in 2013-14.
Further, Marc Nassif said, “Renault India has a great product plan. The challenge will be to scale up the organisation, dealerships and deliver 1,00,000 vehicles a year. India needs to be among the top 10 markets for Renault by 2013.”
The French-car manufacturer company did not get the prefect start in India; it has introduced the Koleos, the Fluence and the Pulse in India.
But, the success of Duster and the upcoming C version sedan, the Scala, Marc Nassif plans better scope for the company with 30,000 cars sale this year.
He said, “The last few months have been intense – preparing for the launch, expanding operations and getting the logistics and the right product in place.”
