Riots forces Curfew in Hyderabad after clashes

Situation in Hyderabad was out of control on Sunday while riots between two communal groups had exposed on sensitive parts of city.

Atleast seven people were wounded in clashes of stabbing stones.

Source said that an indefinite curfew was struck by Police in all sensitive parts of Old City for controlling communal riots over a religious place.

Whole incident became worse while members of a group in the Madannapet area found a piece of meat thrown in the premises of holy place.

Blaming the attempt over rival religious group, Communal members were to gather in streets, attacking the rivals with stones, knives and other major weapons.

Situation was so bad over “sensitive” nature of the whole issue that the city police imposed curfew in Madannapet and Saidabad areas for chilling and handling trouble in their hands. The actual fact behind over all sensitive trouble is in wake of Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti.

However miscreants threw stones targeting RTC buses and also tried trouble at the historic Charminar, although immediately RAF forces came into action and denied their attempt.

“Situation is under control now and there are no indications of the clashes spreading. However, we continue to be on alert and the security too is being beefed up as part of our preventive efforts,” an official source told reporters.

As per source report, Hyderabad police commissioner A.K. Khan said, “We have posted pickets and taken the necessary measures. Two people have been arrested for questioning.”
