In a shocking statement given by the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Sunday saying that the training camps run by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were promoting Hindu terrorism in the country.
Further, Sushil Kumar Shinde said that the BJP and the RSS were behind the Samjhauta Express, Meccca Masjid and Malegaon blasts.
The congress leader was talking to media at Congress Chintan Shivir in Jaipur. He said, “Training camps of both the BJP and the RSS are promoting Hindu terrorism. Whether it is Samjhauta blast or Mecca Masjid blast or Malegaon blast, they plant bombs and blame it on the minorities.”
Reacting on the statement given by the Sushil Kumar Shinde, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said, “Home Minister’s statement is irresponsible and unfortunate. We condemn it.”
In addition, BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, “It is sad that the Home Minister is trying to disturb the peace of the country. The Congress should apologise, Sonia Gandhi should also apologise, otherwise they will have to face the consequences.”
Later half of the day, Shushil Kumar Shinde said he didn’t said anything new and he just talked about what many people already talked in the past.
Shinde said, “It is saffron terrorism that I have talked about. It is the same thing and nothing new. It has come in the media several times.”
It is said in news that the Congress party warned Shinde to make clarification on his statements. Earlier, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi asked party leader to gear up for 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Moreover, the senior Congress leader and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shukla also clarified on Home Minister’s s statement saying he referred to right-wing terrorism and not Hindu terrorism.
Rajiv Shukla said, “Terrorism has no religion. The extremists and religious fanatics create terror. The Home minister did not refer to Hindu terrorism instead he meant right-wing terrorism.”
Right Wing activities were charged of plotting the Samjhauta Express bomb blast.
