Salman Khan inks Rs 500cr deal with Star TV

Just a couple of days back, it was said that Dabangg Salman Khan inks Rs 500cr deal with an entertainment channel. On Tuesday, it is said that the actor inked Rs 500 crore deal with Star TV Network India for the television broadcast rights of his upcoming films.

After the 2009 release film ‘Wanted’, Salman Khan has become the most costly star of Bollywood and success is following him in every field. During the last five year, Salman Khan gave all the Rs 100 crore club films such as “Ready”, “Dabangg”, “Bodyguard”, “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Dabangg 2″.

Talking to media, general manager at Star Gold, Hemal Jhaveri said, “Yes, we have signed a deal with Salman Khan and whoever asks me why Salman, I would only say why not Salman Khan? His past box office record has been outstanding and his film, which has been premiered on TV, is exceptional.”

Further, Mr. Jhaveri said, “He still has the highest record for his film ‘Bodyguard’ which had the highest rating so far.”

It is said that the channel would hold the rights of Salman’s all films exclusive TV broadcast rights.

He said, “The deal is from 2013 onwards where all his films in which he acts, produces or be part of, we will have the broadcast rights exclusively with us.”

Salman Khan has handful amount films coming up next which includes “Kick”, ” No Entry Mein Entry” and Sooraj Barjatya’s next untitled film among others.

Currently, the actor is in US for his health check-up and treatment, but he will soon start shooting for his films.
