In old age, fear of survival in society attached with them. Children disowned and abused ageing parents, hesitate to take their responsibilities and left them in old age homes.

Recent episode of Aamir’s show highlighted cases of abandoned parents, who find shelter in old age homes when they are at the last days of their lives.

In the show, a story of an old widow has showed. She was left out from her own house by her own son, waiting several hours that her son open the door, but he refused to take her inside. Being disappointing, the old widow asked help from neighbours and the police and succeeded to enter her own house.

This was not only one, several stories enlighten in the show that briefed series of plights of helpless parents, facing humiliation by their own children just because of attached with them with love and affection and never go against them in court.

However, concept of marrying in old age for support of a partner as live-in relationship for old couples was also appreciated in the show, citing with example of Marathi Mr Joshi who married to a Malayalam woman.

Moreover, several social activists expressed their opinion with the audiences present there. Highlighting the factor of economy is the major risk factor on old age. Parents must share their happiness but not their wealth with children in very clear terms.

Another said to have more shelter home in the city for old age citizens, so that they can survive their lives.

But this is not solutions; children should understand social values and respect their parents gracefully, not dealing as sympathy or burden. As they accept it, they attain and fit as their system that symbolises wisdom.
