The so called Mr. Perfectionist of the Hindi film industry, Aamir Khan has talked about female foeticide and child abuse in the first two episodes on his first TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’.
Now, in the third episode of Aamir’s Satyamev Jayate, he talked about dowry deaths in the country. And he showed us some shocking results from the so called well-educated society of India.
Aamir’s Satyamev Jayate has been loved in all parts of the country and the show is just not to make us aware of all such social issues and problems with out society and culture, the show also forces us to re-consider that what direction we are going. What we are doing with our lives and how we are living.
TV anchor and actress Mandira Bedi posted on her Twitter, saying, “Anothr episode of awakening, this morng at 11. Shame on all those who sell their sons for dowry. Ths age old evil must be stopped.”
TV host Mini Mathur posted on twitter, “Superb episode of #satyamevjayate. Simple, alarming, shaming, awakening!!”
However, some also said that Aamir’s Satyamev Jayate episode 3 had less discussion as compared to the first two shows.
Singer Vishal Dadlani posted on twitter, “Hardly any #satyamevajayate tweets today. Is Dowry something india is ok with? The repugnant remnant of sexist.”
Satyamev Jayate examines a different social issue through case studies on each episode.
