Syria Clash 150x150 Syria Clash: Aleppos souk burningAttempt of Syrian troops and rebels to take hold on Syria left more than hundreds of shops blazed in Aleppo’s souk, fired all area in gunfire, but UNESCO, Aleppo’s old city termed the damage as a tragedy, reports said.

The ancient market and shops was one of the best the cultural sites, tourist attraction place in the Middle East, famous for its narrow stone alleys and stores selling perfume, fabrics and spices.

Due to having repeatedly targeting of shelling and gunfire between Syrian Troops and Rebel, now the souk has burnt completely, even the fire which was broken out last Friday was still continuing on Saturday.

“It’s a big loss and a tragedy that the old city has now been affected,” Kishore Rao, director of UNESCO’s World Heritage Center, told reporters.

“It’s a disaster. The fire is threatening to spread to remaining shops,” one activist, Ahmad al-Halabi, told source, adding that the situation was very difficult as more as fire control because Assad troops cut off the water supply.

Having few fire extinguishers, the fire was out of control, spread faster as fuelled between 700 and 1,000 shops.

Meanwhile, this attack on Aleppo was just fighting and fighting from both sides, resulting huge clashes at several locations of the city, including the Neirab military base and Bab Antakya.
