In a race to be the strongest telecom firm in fast strengthening high speed broadband internet services, Bharti Airtel is on the top by signing a Rs 907 crore deal with Qualcomm Asia Pacific, fourth-generation (4G) broadband venture.

This month may be Kolkata’s Airtel citizens experience 4G service technology as Bharti Airtel has reportedly said that it has tie up with ZTE Corporation to manage its 4G network in Kolkata that support video streaming and high-definition video conferencing.
Talking to reporters, Bharti Airtel CEO Sanjay Kapoor said, “According to industry estimates, by 2016, six per cent of all mobile connections will have 4G connection, which would create 36 per cent of the total mobile data traffic, thus paving way for the ensuing data revolution.”
