No more action film, Agent Vinod is the last: Kareena Kapoor

The most featured news of Bollywood is that the top actress of the industry, Kareena Kapoor has decided to quit action film.

Gossips are on full high about her upcoming action-thriller ‘Agent Vinod’ opposite to Saif Ali Khan, but the actress decides to say bye bye to action films, as she said in a press interview that this will be her last action film.

Kareena Kapoor, who will be working in this film with beo Saif Ali Khan after a log period, says she didn’t enjoy performing the stunts in the film and is petrified of gun shots and speed.

While talking to media, Kareena Kapoor said, “I am a very romantic person at heart, I am petrified of gun shots and speed. ‘Agent Vinod’ will be my last action film… I won’t be doing anymore action movies… I didn’t enjoy doing the stunts at all. I like doing romantic films and enjoy the singing and dancing.” Read more

HCL demands bidding option for Aakash II Tablets

Aakash II tablets 263x300 HCL demands bidding option for Aakash II TabletsIn some interesting news from Technology sector, it is said that major IT and tech firm HCL has showed their interest in the bidding for the Aakash II tablets after the governments issued an expression of interest (EoI) for it.

The declaration was made to media by a senior company official at the ISA Vision Summit 2012. He said, “HCL Info may offer its expertise in manufacturing as the demand for the tablet has reached the million mark.”

Though, the Union Minister for HRD, Communications & IT, Government of India, Kapil Sibal has earlier said that the ultra-low cost Aakash tablets will soon be available for free to every Indian student.

Mr. Kapil Sibal also said in his speech that the central government will soon introduce Aakash II, the successor to the first generation Aakash tabs, which is a faster and more professional version of the Aakash that was introduced earlier. Read more

Indian car sales up 7.19%, two-wheelers sales rise 13.6% in Jan 2012

The latest reports of Business states that the Passenger car sales in the domestic market of the country has been increased by 7.19 per cent to 1,96,013 units in first months of this year as compared to 1,82,852 units in the same period of the last year.

As per the figures issued by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the two-wheelers [motorcycle] sales in the month of January has reported a growth of around 10.51 per cent to 8,25,887 units from 7,47,309 units in the same month of 2011.

Meanwhile, the two-wheeler sales in the first month of this year grew 13.62 per cent to 11,13,831 units as compared to the 9,80,243 units in the same period of the year 2011. Read more

While talking to media, an official from the film said, “Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as heroine in Kochadaiyaan.”

Moreover, actress Deepika Padukone had been selected opposite to superstar Rajnikanth in his Rana, since suspended after he fell sick on the first day of the film’s sets in 2011.

On the other hand, the Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya gave his die-hard fans, who had performed special poojas as well as all kind of prayers for his recovery from a reported kidney ailment, has brought some cheer to his fans by announcing that she would direct her father in Kochadaiyaan, believed to be a period flick.

In addition, the very first look of the film is out in media, and it has gained much popularity, a still with Rajnikanth sporting six-pack, beard and a yogi-like hairdo, setting off expectation about the film amid cine-buffs. Read more
