Over 70 flights affected due to fog, Delhi temp shrinks 4.5 degree Celsius
Friday morning proves to a fogging morning for Delhi Citizen with temperature of 4.5degree Celsius.
Dense fog affects Delhi transportation due to no visibility less than 50 meters.
As per report having so such covering area by fog , at least 40 flights has called to be delay for 5 hours and some of like Lucknow, Kochi, Bangalore and Chandigarh are to be cancelled.
From last three days, the airlines are reporting to be late because of heavy pressure of fog that has totally pushed out the air traffic as well as road.
I hope the air traffic controller training was from an accredited college that taught the traffic controllers how to handle situations like this!
However fog is really stopping speed of fast Delhi metropolitans that have very busy life schedules and those who has gone out of station at early morning, would wait of fog clearance up to 10-11 am. Read more
Heavy Fog forces flight to delay at IGI airport
The winter has started showing its show now; heavy fog surrounded the IGI Airport on Friday morning, which forced to diversion of four flights and delaying 75 others.
Talking to media, an official from Airport authorities said, “Two Jet Airway flights from Doha and Abu Dhabi and one Kingfisher flight from Dubai were diverted to Jaipur while one cargo flight from Chennai was diverted to Ahmedabad.”
In addition to this, around 10 flights were cancelled because of operational problems or poor weather conditions at the location. Meanwhile, fog started at around 2 am in the morning and leads to dip in the runway visibility. Read more
