UP Polls: Polling starts for 7th and final phase in Uttar Pradesh

Seventh, but Final Phase of Polling of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections spreading over 60 seats in ten districts started early morning at 7 am amidst tight security arrangements.

Covering Bijnore, Moradabad, Bheem Nagar, Rampur, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Badaun, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and Lakhimpur Kheri district, more than 1.82 crore voters cast their votes to decide the fate of their franchise.

All the properties that Singh and his family reportedly own including a bungalow, seven flats and hundreds of acres of land, all are seized by SIT for investigating high profile untraceable assets.

Answering the questions of Media reporters over his untraceable matter, Kripashankar said he was not running away.

He said, “Law will takes its own course, I am not running away, I am innocent. I will fight my battle in court.” Read more

Aarushi murder case: SC rejects Talwar’s plea to transfer case

Once again Dr Rajesh Talwar and his wife Nupur has failed in their attempt of petition as rejection made by Supreme Court, to transfer the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case from Ghaziabad to Delhi, on Friday.

The apex court said that personal inconvenience instead of having adequate security to the Talwars cannot be made a ground for transferring the case.

After being attacked Aarushi’s father Rajesh from outside the Ghaziabad court in January 2011, the Talwars couple had appealed to transfer the case from a Ghaziabad court to a Delhi court. Read more
