2G Scam: SC Judge to hear Chidambaram matter at 12:15pm

On the basis of plea filled by Janata Party Chief Subramanian Swamy, the Supreme Court had cancelled all the 122 telecom licenses on Friday that allocated by former communications minister A Raja to eight telecom companies.

And the Court left the issue whether “Chidambaram should be made co-accused or not” to the trial court of Special CBI in Delhi to decide on Swamy’s plea.

The apex court had cancelled the 122 telecom licenses without found any involvement as a part of the Prime Minister and P Chidambaram. Then it left the case to the lower court and asked not to get influenced by its decision. Read more

2G Scam: Sonia Gandhi will be the next, says Subramanian Swamy

Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy who filed petition against home minister P Chidambaram in 2 G scam, has targeted to all those guilty in the scam.

Today, the Supreme Court will expect to deliver its judgments on issues of 2G telecom spectrum in 2008. Swamy alleged that Chidambaram has along with jailed former telecom minister A Raja, involved to choose at throwaway prices to selected companies.

Swamy demanded to the Court for cancellation of 2G licences allotted to the tainted companies by Chidambaram who is a co-accused in the scam and should be probed. Read more

If CBI was under Lokpal Bill, P Chidambaram would be in jail, says Anna Hazare

In a fight against corruption in the country, Anna Hazare is the only name that hit every person’s mind. The Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare has recently criticized the central government’s steps to ensure the Lokpal Bill did not have control over the CBI, saying the government was “cheating” people to protect “corrupt” ministers.

Talking to media, Anna Hazare said, “If CBI was under Lokpal, P Chidambaram would have been in jail today. If the CBI is kept out, how will the Lokpal be strong? This is a very weak bill. You (government) are protecting corrupt ministers and saying it is a strong Lokpal Bill.”

Meanwhile, Anna Hazare was talking to media at Ralegan Siddhi a day after the Lokpal Bill was approved by the Cabinet.

Moreover, Anna Hazare also targeted the central government for keeping the citizens’ charter out of the bill. Read more

After P Chidambaram, opposition targets SM Krishna

After BJP and Opposition demand for the resignation of Home Minister P Chidambaram for fixing of 2G scam, now their gunning point is on Foreign Minister S M Krishna.

They are claiming that External Affairs Minister, SM Krishna has definite role in an illegal mining case in Karnataka. Both BJP and Opposing party are demanding to rescue of SM Krishna from the Parliament.

However because of disruptions over resignation issue both the Houses of Parliament forcing their adjournment till Monday.

Although there is clouded by Worries United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government with the complaint charged by opposing against home minister and external affair minister.

The two houses of Parliament were adjourned on Friday afternoon for the weekend without any significant business following noisy demands by opposition members for the ouster of Krishna after he was named in an illegal mining case in Karnataka. Read more
