Today is the biggest day for assembly election candidates as result of voting will be break out.
It is expected from till number of votes that Samajwadi Party is going ahead in Uttar Pradesh, while the BJP has come out as a strong gaining party.
According to Chief Electoral Officer Umesh Sinha, “Counting for all 403 seats has started at 8 am and will continue till all results are announced amidst tight security arrangements.”
Still on basis of figures for 252 seats, SP is leading in 111, BJP in 56, SP in 43 and the Congress in 28. However this time, Congress is facing ups and downs in the Mayawati-ruled Uttar Pradesh where its campaign was spread from the front by Rahul Gandhi.
In comparison of BSP, which has contested all 403 seats, Congress is contesting 357 seats in the state and SP 402, BJP 398 and RLD 46.
Today’s result will reveal lots of prediction in which fate of 6839 candidates, who are in fray for 403 seats in the state will be decided. The result will show who is the king of politics or who is king maker.
Stakes are high for all the major political parties including BJP, BSP, SP and Congress-RLD alliance as there was multi-cornered contest on a number of seats.
Even it would also execute whether work of jailed former minister Babu Singh Kushwaha has processed or not. Kushwaha had campaigned in favour of BJP candidates, worked in favour of the party especially in Bundelkhand region.
The ruling Mayawati government’s strategy is also being tested through this polling that help her to power the UP, while Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi is also enlisted for tough test, who did not left any place without campaigned extensively across UP, addressing 211 rallies and held roadshows in 18 constituencies between November 14 last year to February 29.
Although this year for first time, Uttar Parades state covered polling in all seven phases with an average 59.17 per cent polling, but as compared to 20007, BJP is hoping to high turnout votes that will changing its fortunes in the crucial elections.
In 2007 polls, SP had got 97 seats, BJP 50 and RLD, which contested in alliance with BJP won 10 seats and congress won 22 seats and BSP won absolute majority with 206 seats.
