The action hero of Bollywood, Ajay Devgn has recently said in an interview that he and his team has not cheated any Nagpur-based distributor over the all India theatrical rights for his upcoming film Bol Bachchan.
While talking to media, Ajay, also co-producer of the film, said, “It is ridiculous. The matter is in court and the right thing will be done. We have not cheated anybody.”
Meanwhile, the film presents Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan as lead actors and the film is directed by Rohit Shetty and is scheduled to release allover on July 6.
On the other hand, the distributor said in an interview that Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Limited and Ajay Devgn Films violated the theatre distribution agreement, the deal was inked last year.
Moreover, the production team of the film has inked a deal with Appu Wadhwani of Hira Laxmi Amusement Private Ltd., who paid them Rs.1.01 crore out of the promised amount of Rs.53.20 crore, but now they have dis-honoured the agreement by entering a new deal with Fox Star Studios.
In addition, Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Limited has filed a civil case against the producers in a local court, saying that they violated the law and cheated him. Further, the distribution company ahs also appealed the court to stop the release of the film and refund the token money he had paid.
Actor Ajay Devgn said, “We have been requesting him to come and solve the matter, but he is not coming. He can claim whatever he wants. The matter is in court. Nobody is cheating anybody. The court will decide and whatever the court will decide, will be done.”
