Delhi Gang-rape Case: Accused beaten by inmates, shift from Tihar

All the six accused over 23 years old’s paramedical student gang-raped and then brutality have been arrested with murder charges after the death of the victim in Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore.

Today all of them who were lodged in various jails of Tihar Central prison shifted to high security cells by the Delhi Prisons Authority.

Among them, five who are above the age of 18 years, have been remained in a high-security cell, while the sixth accused who claimed to be a minor has been sent to judicial remand home.

While these 5 accused were poisoned with other prisoners, the angry inmates are likely to attack these five, official source said.

The Jail Authority has kept them in separate cells with amid tight security with special locks.

Accused were arrested under Indian Penal Code with charges of murder, dacoity, gang-rape, and destruction of evidence.

Among all accused, Ram Singh, the bus driver was the prime accused who drove the bus in which the girl was raped and murderously assaulted with an iron rod along with her male friend.

Mukesh is the younger brother of Ram Singh, while other were Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and  Akshay Singh, involved in gang rape case. There is a boy claiming to be minor, but no identification has been revealed about him.
