DLF IPL 2012: Mumbai Indians beats Chennai Super Kings, Dwayne Smith was the hero

Dwayne Smith has suddenly become the hero of the match played between the two big Indian Premier League [IPL] teams, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings here at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai 6 May 2012 – day/night (20-over match).

The MI vs CSK DLF IPL 2012 match was live on the Set Max. In fact, this was the best IPL 5 match so far.

Dwayne Smith came to bat for his team at a very critical time, Mumbai Indians required 16 runs from the last over of the match. Chasing a target of 174 runs, Mumbai Indians were in good position and Dwayne Smith hit two fours and one huge six from just 9 balls and steal the victory from Chennai Super Kings.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians skipper Harbhajan Singh won the toss and elected to field first. Chennai Super Kings [CSK] started well, and good shorts were played by opener Murali Vijay, Suresha Raina and Bravo. Skipper MS Dhoni also played 25 runs important knock for his team.

Lasith Malinga was the pick of the bowlers from Mumbai, taking 3 wickets from 25 runs in 4 overs spell.

Batting second, Mumbai Indians required master blaster Sachin Tendular to led from the front, as this was tough match for them. And, Sachin Tendulkar played superb 74 runs knock from just 44 runs hitting 11 fours and one huge six. He was well supported by Rohit Sharma, who made 60 runs with six fours and two sixes.

But, the real hoer of the match was Dwayne Smith, who was later adjusted as Man-Of-The-Match.
