As per latest cricket news, the former captain of Team India Mohammad Azharuddin has supported the decision taken by the selectors to drop out-of-form Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh from the test team for the fourth test against England.
When media asked the former captain about the dropping of Harbhajan and Yuvraj, he said, “The selectors’ decision to keep non-performing players out of the team is proper.”
Azharuddin said, “Not only these two but all those who are not performing should be rested.”
Not only these two but all those who are not performing should be rested, the cricketer-turned-politician, was sharing his views with media during the party campaign in the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012 on Tuesday.
Though, he said that both Yuvi and Bhajji are good players and they will surely make a come back in Team India. He said, “They have plenty of cricket left in them and would surely come back in the national side.”
However, when asked about Sachin Tendulkar’s retirement. He said, “Sachin is a great player and let him and selectors decide about his future.”
Meanwhile, Azharuddin had played 99 Tests and 334 ODIs for Indian cricket team, he said, “The selection committee is the proper body to decide about who should play and who should retire.”
