Govt. is playing the double game with issue of “diesel price” as at one side, it announced to take diesel price in principle as per market rates as need of people, but on another it is going to put the hike diesel price impact on common man.

“Government has, in principle, agreed to make the prices of diesel market determined …There is no proposal at present to fully deregulate cooking gas price” minister of state for finance Namo Narain Meena said about the in principal decision that was taken in June last year.

As like its policy to fix the price of LPG, kerosene and diesel, the govt. continues to modulate the retail selling price of diesel, to leave the common man as well as possible from the inflation as impact of rising oil prices.

However govt. this decision has huge negative response from side of opposition BJP that confidently against this plan and blamed govt. to be responsible for inflation.

Talking to media, BJP leader, Prakash Javadekar, “They are saying that they are doing it in-principle and they will modulate it to the needs of the people. But this means that they are going to increase diesel prices and the diesel shock is coming in few days from now.”
