It seems to be very difficult for a girl to live alone freely as well as even go in busy public areas because there are so many cases of molestation of a girl by a group of men has come that thrilled everyone.
Recently, Assam Police has arrested three youths on the charge of molesting a girl in a busy public area on July 10, others are roaming free.
“The three youths were arrested in connection with the molestation case which happened in front of a bar on Guwahati-Shillong Road on July 10,” Superintendent of Police Apurba Jyoti Barua stated a statement.
However, it has been said that around more than a dozen accused have been identified and among the arrested, one is of a contractual employee of Assam Electronic Development Corporation Ltd, Amarjyoti Kalita who has since been dismissed from service. Two other arrested were Dhananjoy Basfor and Bubul Das.
The incident had happened on July 10, when the girl along with a friend went to bar situated on the Guwahati-Shillong road. As a quarrel occurred between them, a mob of jeering men took advantage of it and molested the girl, reports said.
Shockingly the matter came in to existence while the video of whole molesting incident fired on the Internet, capturing by bystanders who had stood where it happened.
Source said, scores of bystanders just stood around the location filmed the incidents with camera as the girl’s modesty was being outraged by a mob of men who were tearing off her clothes and groping her indiscriminately.
On basis of written complaint filled by molested girl’s mother, Assam Police had filled charges on accused under sections of wrongful restraint, unlawful assembly, obscene act, voluntarily causing hurt, assault or criminal force on a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty of Indian Penal Court.
